Nothing makes me happier than seeing others happy, that’s why seeing the affects first hand of how happy yoga makes people I knew I was going to love working at Power House Yoga and being a part of the community.
I have been practising yoga for the last five years, having discovered Power House in 2016 – becoming my happy place. I first started yoga purely because I was never a fan of the gym environments and wanted to become more flexible and fit without having to go to a gym filled with people. I was completely unaware of the mental and emotional changes that yoga would have on my life and how much it has changed me for the better.
My favourite part about yoga is having the time to switch off and just breathe and let go. My very first balance class I attended I actually walked out before the class started due to anxiety, but I pushed through and now it is my favourite class on the timetable (being my hour nap for the day as I like to think of it).
I am so grateful to be a part of the PHY team and have yoga brought into my life. Yoga has helped me so much in a short amount of time, dealing with anxiety and learning mindfulness. I am very much looking forward to what my yoga journey has in store for me and sharing that journey with you.
